PRO REVIEW: Char Man Verde Hot Sauce Review by Bill Moore
Headline says it. It's got a Salsa kind of consistency to it, but the heat is still real nice. I use it instead of regular Salsa because it's just a better version of Salsa.
Got this in my second quarterly shipment and it is a five-star sauce for sure; super, robust flavor that comes through with just the right amount of kick...very good...!!!
I like the consistency of this one a lot - closer to a tomatillo salsa, it goes great on breakfast items like eggs, burritos, or hash. While the sauce itself isn't overly hot it does leave a burn in the mouth over time. I got slightly tropical flavors on this one, tons of vegetable, and a tad of sweetness. It's addicting.
This is one of the best verde sauces I've ever had. Not terribly hot but good complex flavor. I enjoyed this most on breakfast items. Eggs, hash etc.
There's a *lot* going on here -- enough heat to keep you interested, but not so much that it covers the flavors. This isn't the standard "mix peppers, vinegar, and salt" sauce -- the pepper mix they chose has a lot of flavor.
